Steve Kindon, whilst Commercial manager at Leeds Road, launched the Patrons Association on 9th April 1985, with the aim of the Association being "the furtherance of top grade football at Leeds Road" and hence now at The McAlpine Stadium. He also wanted "supporters to feel more a part of the Club by being members". In 1991, after having raised over £100,000 for the Club, the Association was re-launched with improved monthly meetings and a newsletter "The Terrier".
To bring things right up-to-date, the Association was again relaunched in 2002, this was designed to align the Association more closely with the Academy, thus ensuring that monies raised are invested in the future of the club. Full details on current membership benefits can be found here
To date, over £400,000 has been raised for the Club through Patrons’ subscriptions and, given the current climate of financial stringency, the Club still very much values our support & input.
